  • Thank you for visiting the Eliot Health Website!
    A Note from the Nurse:
  • COVID-19 additional requirements for attending school:

    • Please check your child's temperature daily prior to leaving home to come to school. If your child has a temperature of 100 degrees or higher they must stay home and contact the school nurse.
    • Your child needs to be able to wear a mask while at school (mask breaks will be provided). Gaiters, vented masks and bandanas are not acceptable masks.
    • If there is a family member or close contact of your child that has tested positive for COVID-19, keep your child home and contact the school nurse and Needham Public Health.
    • Keep your child at home while you are awaiting awaiting results of a COVID 19 test for your child. Email the school nurse with the results prior to having your child return to school. Please do not send test results to school in backpacks as these can get lost.
    • If you are getting your child tested for COVID please be advised that only PCR and NAAT tests are accepted to submit to the school nurse for your child to return to school. Home tests are not accepted at this time.
    • Thank you for your partnership in keeping our students and staff safe!

Only PCR and NAAT molecular tests are accepted by Needham Public Schools for symptomatic children. At this time we are not accepting "at home" tests. We do not test children at school if they have symptoms. We only do "test and stay" if the child is a close contact from another child at school.
