Dear Eliot Families and Caregivers,

On behalf of the Eliot staff I would like to welcome you to the 2022/23 school year! We are pleased to welcome 13 new students in grades 1-5 and 66 Kindergarten students. Our school is growing and now has 424 children and 23 classrooms in grades K-5.
Eliot is a small community school with a richly diverse student and family population. Our students come from all over the world, and we are proud to have an increasingly large group of students who are learning English as a second language. We are strongly committed to creating a welcoming and safe school environment where all students and families feel a sense of belonging and can proudly be themselves.
We are also firm in our belief that all students can and will thrive in our school regardless of their learning or personal challenges. Teachers are trained in inclusive teaching practices, and we continue to strive to become a more equitable place for all students. This year we will focus on fostering a love for math, becoming more culturally responsive to our students and families, and accelerating student learning by making grade level work in all subjects more accessible to all students. We are pleased to begin an Eagle Block at Eliot in grades 2 and 4 this year to provide support for all students in literacy and math.
As always, please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions or just to connect. You can reach me by calling the main office at 781-455-0452 or emailing me at [email protected] Have a wonderful school year.
Karen Rondon-Bourn Eliot School Principal
